Electronic invoice in Poland: from July 1, 2024 mandatory .
The Polish government has approved the KSeF ( national e-invoicing system ) project after the latest changes were made.
Officially confirmed the date of introduction of e-invoicing with KSeF in Poland as of July 1, 2024.
- Adopted by the Council of Ministers, KSeF aims to accelerate the digitization of the public sector.
- The project will significantly facilitate entrepreneurs running a business.
- The electronic invoicing obligation will come into effect on July 1, 2024.
The National Electronic Invoicing System will enable the modernization of:
- invoicing processes,
- document flow,
- invoicing systems used by entrepreneurs.
The uniform standard for electronic invoicing will simplify the process of documenting transactions, speed up and automate the issuance, processing and storage of documents. Faster document processing means lower costs. Taxpayers will have up-to-date (real-time) information from invoices for management purposes, including analysis, but also in other areas of their business.
As of January 1, 2022, Polish entrepreneurs have the option of voluntarily issuing invoices through KSeF. Currently, the electronic invoice operates as one of the permitted forms of sales documentation, alongside paper invoices and electronic invoices already present in business transactions.
