During the press conference which took place on March 18, 2020 the Polish government presented a series of solutions for entrepreneurs and employees that aim to mitigate the negative impact of the coronavirus epidemic on the economy.
This program, referred to as the Anti-Crisis Shield, is a package of solutions for employees, micro, small, medium and large companies, thanks to which the state will try to support Poles in the time of crisis.
It is a plan which main goal is to preserve jobs and prevent bankruptcies, closing workplaces, reducing turnovers and revenues of companies. In order to combat this difficult economic situation, the Polish government plans to allocate about PLN 212 billion, which constitutes about 10% of Polish GDP.
