As of 1 January 2025, the updated Polish Classification of Business Activities, which is the basis for determining the subject of activity of Polish entrepreneurs, including companies, will come into force.

Entrepreneurs will be required to make appropriate changes to their CEIDG, REGON and KRS registers.

• The Central Statistical Office reports that the new PKD 2025 codes will cover new types of activity that have emerged in the economy in recent years.
• From 1 January 2025, the new PKD 2025 codes will be applied obligatorily to all newly registered companies. The new PKD 2025 classification will also apply to any change in the type of activity made in the CEIDG database. Other companies will have the opportunity to benefit from a transitional period.

Among other things, new codes will be introduced for the digitisation industry, and Polish codes will be reconciled with the requirements of the EU and global markets.
