Poland Prize acceleration program – an incentive for foreign startups

The aim of the Poland Prize program is to encourage foreign startups to do business in Poland thanks to support in starting and developing their business and inclusion into the Polish startup world.

The Poland Prize program is addressed to foreign entrepreneurs (founders) and startup teams outside Poland. Startups can apply for the Poland Prize through experienced operators. Recruitment takes place via e-forms. You can receive up to 100% of the eligible costs of the project, which means that you do not have to have your own contribution. The maximum financing an entity can receive is 300 000 PLN. The applications for a grant are accepted from March 1, 2022 to December 31, 2022.

The Poland Prize acceleration program is divided into 2 stages.

Stage I includes:

  • Soft-landing - bridging activities to provide startups with the necessary conditions to undertake proper business activity, taking into account, m.in, the support of the so-called "concierge" (dedicated advisor – startup supervisor),
  • Development - individualized activities necessary to develop the startup's activity in Poland, related to, for example, building a startup team or improving its competences, establishing relationships, developing a startup's product, promotion and acquiring a business partner by a startup (Technology Recipient or Investor).

As part of Stage I, a startup may receive a cash grant in the amount not higher than PLN 50,000, intended to cover the costs necessary for the implementation of up to 3 months of activities under the soft-landing and development component.

Stage II is dedicated to startups that, as a result of Stage I, have established documented cooperation with a Business Partner (technology recipient or investor).

Stage II includes:

  • Acceleration - professional activities described by the Individual Acceleration Plan, to enable the pilot implementation of the startup solution at the Recipient of technology and / or to raise capital from the Investor,
  • Post-acceleration – activities aimed at maximizing the results of the project achieved by the startup as a result of Acceleration, providing for e.g. continuation or extension of selected development activities of the startup or maintaining their effects.

As part of Stage II, a startup may receive a cash grant in the amount not higher than PLN 250,000, intended to cover the costs of acceleration activities necessary to conduct a pilot implementation of the startup solution at the Recipient of technology and/or to raise capital from the Investor by the startup
