The government wants to grant State aid to entrepreneurs in relation to the increase of electricity and natural gas prices in 2022-2024. The bill defines the rules for granting such aid. The aid is addressed to the entrepreneurs whose business activity is at risk due to the dynamic increase of costs. In the period 2022-2024, the government wants to allocate PLN 17,4 billion total for the implementation of support programs, comprised of over PLN 5 billion in 2022, over PLN 8,2 billion in 2023 and over PLN 4,1 billion in 2024.
The most important solutions adopted in the bill:
- Rules for the implementation of granting the state aid to entrepreneurs in relation to the increase of electricity and natural gas prices in 2022-2024 will be defined;
- The Council of Ministers will be able to adopt government programs related to granting such aid to entrepreneurs. The Minister of Development and Technology will be responsible for the implementation of those programs;
- The aid is addressed to the companies that are at risk due to the dynamic increase of business activity costs:
- The aid is primarily aimed at providing liquidity and access to the financing of companies facing challenges of the current crisis, at the same time respecting the conditions of working on the EU single market;
- The aid may be granted for covering the increased business activity costs due to the increase of electricity and natural gas prices.
