The Polish Agency for Enterprise Development (PARP)<\/b> announces a new competition under the <\/span>STEP (Strategic Technologies for Europe Platform), <\/b>which aims to support investments in digital and deep-tech technologies through two separate funding components\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

  • Choice A \u2013 <\/b>\u00a0for projects that bring <\/span>critical and disruptive<\/b> technologies to the EU market\u00a0 that have the potential to have a significant economic impact. This includes solutions such as artificial intelligence, next-generation semiconductors, quantum technologies, robotics, autonomous systems and sensor technologies. Assets can range from manufacturing infrastructure to elements of the entire value chain\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Option B \u2013 <\/b>targeting projects that contribute to reducing the EU’s technological dependency on non-EU suppliers by building in-house and secure production capacities for critical digital technologies\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    \ud83d\udcca<\/b> Why it matters now<\/b><\/p>\n

    The ICT sector in Poland accounts for about 8% of GDP, employs over 410,000 specialists and records an annual growth of 7-8%. However, a strong push is needed to turn research results into scalable industrial solutions. This is exactly what STEP was created for, which aggregates funding from <\/span>Horizon Europe<\/b>, <\/span>InvestEU<\/b> and <\/span>the Innovation Fund<\/b> to increase Europe’s technological autonomy\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    \ud83c\udfe2<\/b> Who can participate and what funds are financed<\/b><\/p>\n

      \n
    • Target group: <\/span>SMEs, large enterprises and mid-caps <\/b>implementing industrial investment projects.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Types of eligible costs: purchase\u00a0 of <\/span>machinery<\/b>, <\/span>buildings<\/b>, construction works, <\/span>licenses<\/b>, <\/span>know-how<\/b> and <\/span>training<\/b> or <\/span>\u00a0advisory interventions\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n
    • Possible amounts: budget up to <\/span>PLN 150 million<\/b> per project. Eligibility covers investments worth from <\/span>PLN 10 million to PLN 200 million<\/b>, with different levels of co-financing (up to 70% for SMEs)\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
