With the planned amendment to the Act on the National Labour Inspectorate, inspectors will be empowered to issue administrative decisions confirming the existence of employment relationships, enabling the conversion of civil law contracts into employment contracts. These decisions will be immediately enforceable and subject to appeal in labour courts.
Additionally, the National Labour Inspectorate will be authorized to conduct remote inspections, including requesting documents electronically and conducting online hearings. This will increase the efficiency of inspections and reduce disruptions to business operations. Inspection reports will be signed electronically, significantly simplifying formalities.
Employers are advised to undertake preventive measures to mitigate negative impacts of these changes. Recommended actions include systematic review of civil contracts and conducting regular employment audits. If you have any questions regarding preparations for the planned changes, such as contract verification, please contact the Core team.
