Brazil Looks to Poland as a Strategic Gateway for Investments in the EU

After nearly 25 years of negotiations, the trade agreement between the European Union and Mercosur appears to be nearing conclusion, paving the way for a new wave of South American investments in Europe. Leading the charge is Brazil, whose trade and investment agency, ApexBrasil, views Poland as a key destination.

“Poland has the greatest potential for us in all of Europe,” said Jorge Viana, President of ApexBrasil. According to Viana, the agreement could open new opportunities for Brazilian capital in the sectors of aviation, green energy, agriculture, and digital technologies.

In a global context marked by growing Chinese influence and persistent U.S. protectionism, Viana emphasizes the need to strengthen ties between Europe and the Global South. “The world will not be bipolar. It will be fragmented, more brutal, shaped by competing blocs,” he warned.
